Dr. Ghalib Mannan is the current co-chair and Founder-Trustee of the House of Mannan Charitable Trust (HMCT) and a Founder of Dr. Ghalib Mannan Social Laboratory School and College, Nimgachi, Sirajganj,
Dr. Ghalib Mannan received his MB, BCh from the University of Wales College of Medicine, United Kingdom in 1992. He also completed his MD in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Medical College of Pennsylvania and Hahnemann University Hospital, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1999-2001.
Dr. Ghalib is currently
working as an Infectious Disease specialist with Mid-South Infectious Disease
Associates (MIDA) since July 2001; He is board certified in Internal Medicine
and Infectious Diseases by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) since
2001 and holds medical licenses to practice in the states of Pennsylvania,
Mississippi, and Tennessee, USA. He is also a member of the American College of
Physicians and the General Medical Council (GMC) of the United Kingdom.
He has an extensive
record of community service that include: President of the Board of Directors
of Pleasant View School Islamic School, Memphis, Tennessee, USA (October
2007-2013); volunteer physician at the Muslim Medical Clinic (a charity clinic
for the uninsured and underprivileged), Memphis, TN, USA (April 2006-2013) and
member of the Board of Directors, Memphis Muslim Medical Clinic, USA
(2006-2007).
He was also one of the
principal advising physicians for the Covid Task Force for the Memphis Muslim
Community and Pleasant View School during the Covid pandemic from 2020- 2022 .
He also completed an elective during medical school at the International Center for Diarrheal Diseases Research (ICDDR) Dhaka, Bangladesh and at the Children's Nutrition Unit, Dhaka, Bangladesh (Save the Children Fund), in 1991. He has a number of research publications to his credit.
