Eyecare is the flagship charity program of the House of Mannan Charitable Trust (HMCT). The aim of this program is to provide free eyecare services to underprivileged people. Eye diseases are a major problem in impoverished countries like Bangladesh. This program is fully operational in Sirajganj, one of the northern districts of the country. Recently it has been extended to Dhaka city as well. For the successful implementation of the program, HMCT has collaborated with the country’s largest eye hospitals – Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute and Hospital in Dhaka and Prof. M A Matin Memorial BNSB Base Eye Hospital in Sirajganj. The trust also has its own experienced optometrists to implement the program. The program is led by a manager under the supervision of HMCT’s Board of Trustees.
