HMCT has taken
up a housing project (‘Homes for the Homeless’) to provide shelter at low
cost to those who are truly poor and helpless, especially elderly widows,
orphans. HMCT volunteers travel to remote locations to evaluate the situation
of the underprivileged and make appropriate decisions. Every month, HMCT
aims to construct homes for at least two homeless families. The number of
houses for construction is expected to increase in the future.
The district of
Sirajganj is the current focus of the initiative. It is the second largest
program of the organization.
