
Yasmeen Mannan is an Honorable Trustee of House of Mannan Charitable Trust. She was born and brought up in Memphis, Tennessee, USA. Yasmeen is currently an undergraduate student at Emory University in Atlanta, on the pre-medicine tract with the goal of applying to medical school after she completes her undergraduate studies there. She was selected as a Woodruff Scholar there and holds several leadership positions in the Muslim Student association in the university. At Emory University she is also co-editor of the University’s student run medical journal.
In high school at Pleasant View School Yasmeen was the President of her school's Unicef Club and co-President of the immigration reform advocacy group. She was also the co-editor of the school newspaper, The Panthers' Appeal, and has participated in various academic competitions as well, such as the National Science Bowl and National History Day competitions. In her free time. Yasmeen enjoys playing sports, reading, and spending time outdoors.
